1. Introduction
Please read steps (1) to (7) thoroughly. 
All candidates must book to attend the Basic Principles of BAS before attending any other BAS course. 
All candidates must book to attend the Hardcat Overview before attending any other Hardcat course.
Candidates must constantly check the status of their booking and will be allowed to attend only if the status of their booking is confirmed, see (6) below.
 
2. View course schedule
Click Schedules.
Click the icon next to BAS Training/Hardcat Training.
 
3. Book yourself on a course
Click the Register icon next to the course you would like to attend, subject to (1) above.
Enter your SA ID Number.
Click Next.
Enter your personal details including you persal number if available.
Select your department from the list.
Enter your region e.g. Ladysmith, Head Office, Ethekwini, King Edward Hospital, etc.
To check what course you are booking click on course information.
Click Add to complete registration.
The system will return a message "Your seat has been booked".
The status of your booking will be booked.
Only when the status of your booking has changed to confirmed, will you be allowed to attend.
To check the status of your booking please see (6) below.
Click close window.
 
4. Print booking confirmation
Click on the View Bookings icon while viewing the schedule.
Click on the Print Request icon .
Enter you SA ID Number and click next.
Click File.
Click Print.
 
5. Send Confirmation to KZN Provincial Treasury
Read the instructions thoroughly.
Enter the rest of your details. 
Sign the form.
Get your supervisor/manager to sign the form.
Fax / e-mail the copy (signed) to Treasury for attention Indira Maharaj.
Fax number (033) 342 3725 or e-mail: training@treasury.kzntl.gov.za.
The forms must be faxed back to Treasury before the Forms cut off date as available on the schedule.
 
6. Acceptance to the course
Provincial Treasury will change the status next to your name from booked to confirmed.
Only when your status has changed to confirmed will you be able to attend a course.
To check the status of your booking, click on schedules.
Click on the View Bookings icon next to the course you have previously booked.
The system will then return the status of your booking.
 
7. Course Manuals & Test
There will be a test at the end of each course. 
The pass mark is 70%. 
All candidates must bring along the relevant course manual on the day of attendance, otherwise it will be very difficult to obtain the pass mark.
